Route 66 is a newly formed band which kicked off the first gig at the South Tweed Bowls Club at the beginning of 2004 with comments like "how tight the band and vocal harmony sounds". The band is known as a country rock band with a flavour from the 50s---2004 rock to modern up tempo country music and a touch of rockabilly. The band has introduced good up tempo country music into their repertoire as the rock n roll clubs have found out that country music has a great beat for the dancers.
So far the band has performed at most major clubs such as Maroochydore RSL, Southport RSL, Southport Sharks, Southport Workers Club, Toowoomba City Golf Club, Caloundra RSL Club, Ballina Bowls Club and Seagulls as "Country 66"with a full night of country music.

The band members are:
Trevor White - Lead guitar and vocals.
Keith Douglas - Drums and vocals.
Matthew White - Bass and Vocals.
Michael White - Lead guitar and Vocals.

Trevor and Keith were former members of the Rock’n’Rebels. Matthew, was formerly the bass player for ‘Silverhair’. Michael is back on the Gold Coast after playing lead guitar in a country band in Townsville. Matthew and Michael are the two sons of Trevor who started out in their teens in their fathers band at Inverell NSW before moving to the Gold Coast 6 Years ago.
